
Felipe Memoria was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1977, and is from a traditional family of architects that joined up with a family of super engineers, in a genetic experiment that had no controlled variables. Married to Mariana, he is a supporter of Portela school of samba, and as all good Brazilians, a soccer fan. More specifically, of the most traditional team in Rio: Fluminense FC.
Has worked with the internet since 1997, and at Globo.com since 2003 now at HUGE (NYC office). In recent years, has been exclusively dedicated to sports products. Before that, took part in several other projects such as sites for TV Globo, Big Brother Brasil 4 and 5, Jornal Nacional, Fantástico, GloboNews, Globo Media Center and GloboOnline, among others.
Felipe holds a Masters Degree in Design with emphasis on Ergonomics, Usability, and HCI from PUC-Rio, the same university he graduated in Design in 2000.
Has published and presented papers in Brazil, England and the USA. Is a renowned professional in the Brazilian market and has lectured in the main events on the area in the country, such as World Usability Day, Intercon, and Web Design Meeting.
Memoria is was also professor of two post-graduate courses in PUC-Rio: Ergodesign and Interface Evaluation, and Webdesign.
In 2005 he wrote the book Design para a Internet: Projetando a Experiência Perfeita (Design for the Internet: Designing the Perfect Experience), published by Campus/Elsevier and greatly acknowledged.
In 2007 he had the pleasure of writing in the fourth-cover for the latest book by Jakob Nielsen published in Brazil - Prioritizing Web Usability.
